This is a new section of my website, and a bit of an experiment.
These are the main reasons I decided to make this section:
- I already do monthly reflections, and I thought it could be cool to share them with some personal bits redacted. I might retroactively post a few past months to get started
- I have been doing a ton of hobby work, but often it doesn’t result in a “finished” project. Sharing some of the journey here is a kind of heartbeat to show what I’m working on, without the pressure of making finished posts for the homepage
- I want some more accountability for my projects, and posting my sprint plans and deadlines is a convenient way to add some pressure to drop a deliverable here
- I write a lot of half-baked rants and stuff that I don’t think will turn into a full essay. So I might use this section for “microblogging”
- I wanted a quiet place to reflect and share monthly updates on what I’m working on for friends and family
